Motor: The 1/3 HP, 3600 RPM General Electric induction motor is the quietest in its class. The brushless motor has very few moving parts, which greatly increases its durability and dependability. Omega has successfully used this type of motor for the last sixteen years.

Optional Filters: The Omega Model 1000 can be used with non-bleached, cellulose fiber filters. These filters yield a truly "pulp-free" juice and make clean- up a snap. If the filters are not used, the amount of pulp in the juice will be about the same as with most other juicers.

Surgical Stainless Steel: The stainless parts are comprised of a heavy-gauge surgical stainless steel. All of the stainless parts are either polished or sand-blasted for an easy-to-maintain, attractive finish.

Basket: Each basket is hand-balanced to achieve virtually "no vibration" while juicing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.  Clean-up after use is very easy.

Blade: The stainless steel blade efficiently "chews up" fruits and vegetables without wearing down. In addition to it's heavy-duty construction, the blade has a plastic ring on the outer edge of its underside that helps it to "float" during operation. A floating blade allows the motor to maintain its RPMs while fruits and vegetables are fed into the machine. This also reduces vibration.

Bowl: The large stainless steel bowl is polished on the outside to an attractive, mirror-like finish. The inside has an equally attractive, sand-blasted finish, specifically designed for easy cleaning.

Spring Clutch: The small white knob that holds the blade in place is called the spring clutch nut. This spring clutch nut also helps the blade to float. No tools are needed to change or clean this system.

Rubber Feet: This juicer stands on a dozen evenly-spaced feet. These feet are variable in height, which helps keep the unit from "walking" across your countertop during use. Strong enough to provide appliance traction, yet soft enough to protect the surface of any countertop, this purposeful design feature is another simple reason why customers prefer Omega quality.

Latch Arms: The cantilever-style latch arms were a first in the industry, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly. Latch arms make it easy for just about anyone to use this juicer on a daily basis.
